My Real Journey in Finance & Trade – A Thank You from the Heart
When I look back at my university days, one word comes to mind: grateful. In 2020, I graduated from Zhejiang A&F University in China with a degree in International Trade and Finance. But my time there wasn’t just about textbooks and lectures—it was about growth, friendship, and discovering who I really am.
Back then, I never imagined how much studying finance and trade would shape the way I see the world today. I went to China with a dream, but I came back with so much more—skills, experience, memories, and a deep appreciation for the people who helped me along the way.
To Ms. Kayler – Thank You
If there’s one person I’ll never forget, it’s my teacher Ms. Kayler. She wasn’t just a professor; she was someone who truly believed in her students. Her classes were tough, no doubt, but she had a way of explaining things that made complicated topics easier to understand. More importantly, she always encouraged us to think for ourselves.
There were moments I struggled or doubted myself, but she kept pushing me forward. I still remember how she’d patiently answer our endless questions and make us feel like every idea we had mattered. I owe a lot of my success to her guidance, and I want to say this from the bottom of my heart: thank you, Ms. Kayler. You made a big difference in my life.
Classmates from Around the World – You Made It Special
One of the best things about studying in China was the diversity in my class. I met students from so many different countries—India, Germany, Kenya, and more. It was amazing to sit in a classroom with people who had completely different backgrounds and perspectives. We didn’t just learn from books; we learned from each other.
We worked on group projects, helped each other study, shared food from our home countries, and sometimes even got lost in the streets of Hangzhou together. Those friendships made everything easier, especially during tough times. So to all my classmates: thank you for being part of my journey. You made it unforgettable.
My Role as Monitor & A Moment of Pride
During my university years, I had the honor of being the class monitor for our Economics and Finance group. It meant I had to be responsible, organize things, and sometimes be the bridge between students and teachers. At first, it felt like a lot—but over time, I realized it helped me grow as a person. It taught me leadership, patience, and how to deal with people from all walks of life.
On top of that, I was lucky enough to receive awards for high academic performance in my major. I remember getting the news that I had one of the highest scores in my class—it felt like all the late-night study sessions and sacrifices were finally worth it. That recognition gave me the confidence I carry with me to this day.
How Finance and Trade Opened My Eyes
Before I studied these subjects, I used to think finance was just about banks and money, and trade was about shipping goods. But during my time at Zhejiang A&F, I learned how deeply connected everything is—especially with technology.
Let’s take smartphones as an example. The parts might come from one country, the design from another, and the assembly from a third. Without global trade, that wouldn’t be possible. And without finance, none of it would be funded. Every tech product we enjoy has layers of economics and international systems behind it. That realization changed how I see business and the world.
Why It Matters for the Future
Now that I’m building Hamudi Tech, I can see just how important my university education was. Knowing how finance works, how global trade happens, and how these systems support the tech industry—these are the things that help me every day.
If you’re someone dreaming of launching a tech business or working internationally, my advice is simple: learn finance and trade. They’re not just about numbers—they’re about understanding how the world functions. And once you know that, you can go far.
One Last Thought
Graduating in 2020 felt like the start of a new chapter, but I’ll always carry the lessons, memories, and people from my university days with me. I’m truly thankful to Ms. Kayler, my classmates, and everyone who supported me on this journey.
Life has taken me to different places, but those years at Zhejiang A&F University shaped who I am today. And for that, I’ll always be grateful.
